A Roman Catholic nun, Mother Teresa was the founder of the Missionaries of Charity who even won a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work. An Albanian citizen christened as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910. She was given the name of Mother Teresa due to her devotion and dedication to poor, sick, orphans and dying.
